Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar felicitated meritorious Students belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe who have secured top positions in class 10th and class 12th examinations in New Delhi on Tuesday, September,02,2025. Addressing the event Dr. Kumar highlighted the contribution of Bharat Ratna Dr. B R Ambedkar in the field of education and social justice and reiterated the Government’s commitment to the empowerment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other disadvantaged communities through education, scholarships and welfare schemes. The awards were given in three categories. The Student who secured the highest marks received 60 thousand rupees while second second-highest scorer received 50 thousand rupees and the student who secured the third position got 40 thousand rupees. Students from 29 State and Central Boards were felicitated for their outstanding academic performance across the two sessions of 2021-22 and 2022-23. A total of 367 students was awarded from class 10th, out of which 22 were toppers and a total of 563 students were awarded from class 12th, out of which 49 were toppers, during the session 2021-22. For session 2022-23, a total of 198 students were awarded from class 10th, out of which 17 were toppers and a total of 362 students were awarded from class 12th, out of which 29 were toppers.
