Is there any alternative to Modi in the next general elections? This is haunting every Indian about the future of the going to be developed country. There are two answers. Modi bhakhts says: There is no alternative. Modi is ultimate.Modi haters says: Alternative leadership will emerge when there is need. Perhaps they may take birth out of popular mass movements. But one thing is clear that there is no single leader can be named from among the opposition parties who can replace Modi in the present context. After a stunning performance of the Congress party in Karnataka Assembly elections all of a sudden there seems a hope has arose in the minds of all opposition parties to capture power at Centre by disloding Modi. Pappu Rahul Gandhi in his recent USA tour declares in all his lectures that all opposition parties would unite to defeat Modi and BJP in 2024 general elections. Along with him Janata Dal United leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of TMC party, DMK leader and Tamilnadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, Telengana Chief Minister and BRS party chief Chandrasekhar Rao, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP's chief Kejriwal have joined hands. This was more evident in recent oath taking ceremony of Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar held at Bengaluru.
Rahul Gandhi factor
Can really pappu Rahul Gandhi of Congress party take over Modi ? The previous experiences reveal that he is not a match to Modi in neither terms of popularity nor in organising capacity. Rahul Gandhi has failed in umpteen attempts to emerge as the leader. If he had those leadership qualities he should have been elected as prime minister of India even before Narendra Modi rose to that position nine years ago. His stature has not grown even with his recent Bharath Jodo Yatra. He has a very typical style of having samvaad with college students. They have not helped him to become mass leader. Luckily his party trounced BJP this time in Karnataka. It's not because his or Priyanka's whril wind campaign; but the five guarantees promised magically brou Congress to power beyond their expectations. This doesn't mean that they are going to win all the four assembly elections this year in Telangana, Madhyapradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh and general elections to Parliament next year. It's day dream of Rahul to predict victory to his party in series of his meetings held recently in USA.
