Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a strong pitch for the BJP in Bengal by asking voters to give "one chance to Modi government for development". "You have given opportunity to the Congress, the Left and the Trinamool Congress. Give one to us. We promise to build 'shonar Bangla (golden Bengal) in 5 years," Shah was addressing a press conference in Klkata on Friday. Shah also targeted the Chief Minister over crimes against women and the failure of her government to ensure the people of Bengal benefitted from Ayushman Bharat and the PM-KISAN scheme.
He charged that there is no law and order in Bengal. "I want to ask Mamta Banerjee why the state crime data was not sent to NCRB after 2018?" Peple are angry with Mamta Banerjee, he said. Shah said that in West Bengal there are three laws-one for the nephew, one for minority appeasement and one for common people. He allege that Bengal tops chart in political killings and asks Mamta Banerjee should come out with a white paper on killings. The borders in Bengal are not secure and infiltration is going on, he charged. He maintained that CAA will be implemented and it is oue commitment.
