US court snubs Trump's claims on unfair election

A federal appeals court on Friday dismissed ongoing President Donald Trump's claim that the election was unfair, saying calling the polls unfair does not make it so. The US court's snub to Donald Trump came after the US President refused to freeze Joe Biden's win in the key state of Pennsylvania. In a scathing review of Donald Trump campaign's arguments that the president was cheated in his November 3 reelection bid, three appeals court judges unanimously said that allegations of unfairness were not supported by evidence."Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so," the court was quoted as saying by AFP. The judges also noted that the Trump campaign claimed discrimination in appealing a lower court ruling. The court said, "But its alchemy cannot transmute lead into gold."

The court also rejected the campaign's latest effort to challenge the election results in Philadelphia. The 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals called any revisions "futile." Trump's lawyers vowed to appeal to the Supreme Court despite the judges' assessment that the "campaign's claims have no merit."Donald Trump persists in arguing that Joe Biden's clear victory is invalid. "Just so you understand, this election was a fraud," AP quoted him as saying.
