With stellar performances by Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapoor, and Akshaye Khanna, and an enchanting soundtrack by A.R. Rahman, Taal has become a cult classic that continues to mesmerize audiences across generations.
To mark this milestone, Tips Music and Subhash Ghai in association with Radio Nasha, brought fans an extraordinary interactive screening on 21st September, powered by Toyow. Part of the popular Nasha Premiere Nights series, this event gave fans a rare opportunity to engage with the creative minds behind Taal, while immersing themselves in the film’s iconic moments and timeless music.
Subhash Ghai, the visionary behind Taal, shared his excitement: "It was a great opportunity for me as a filmmaker to meet and interact with my audience. I shared some interesting stories, especially about the making of Taal, which is one of my favorite films too. With the re-release, I’m thrilled that audiences can experience Taal again on the big screen, relivling its magic, all over again”.
Kumar Taurani, Managing Director of Tips Music, said, _"Twenty-five years ago, we acquired the audio rights of the film 'Taal,' not knowing that it would become such a blockbuster hit of an album. Even after 25 years, the music of 'Taal' stays fresh and remains one of the most popular soundtracks ever. We didn't realize at the time that the audio rights of a Subhash Ghai film would carry so much weight and become such an enduring success. 'Taal' was a musical masterpiece created by the brilliant trio of Subhash Ghai, A. R. Rahman, and Anand Bakshi. A.R. Rahman composed melodies that still resonate today, touching the hearts of listeners young and old. Our partnership with Radio Nasha for 'Nasha Nights' is celebration of this timeless music. 'Taal' tells a story that continues to captivate audiences, reminding us of the power of music to connect us all”.
Ramesh Taurani, Producer and Head of Tips, shared, _"'Taal' was more than just a film; it was a cinematic journey that explored the depths of human emotion. As we celebrated its 25th anniversary with Radio Nasha's 'Nasha Nights,' we're reminded of the brilliance of Subhash Ghai's direction and the exceptional performances that brought this story to life. Aishwarya Rai, Akshaye Khanna, and Anil Kapoor delivered unforgettable portrayals that continue to inspire filmmakers and captivate audiences. Nikhil Nanda: First impressions of a person are often based on appearance

Actor and entrepreneur Nikhil Nanda says that good looks play an important part in not only the film industry, but everywhere. He adds that it forms the first impression.“First impressions of a person are often based on appearance. Looks play a significant role, not just in entertainment, but in many aspects of life. For example, during a job interview, it's an established psychological phenomenon that good looks can give a candidate up to a 68% advantage. This applies in many situations,” he says.
Talking about competition and favouritism in the industry, he says, “Competition is inherent. With a global population of 8 billion, opportunities haven't grown at the same pace, so competition has only intensified. Favouritism exists in every industry, not just in entertainment. However, it is more pronounced in the entertainment industry due to the nature of the work. People who are born to parents in the industry may inherit better looks, which can give them a slight edge.”
He adds, “Fortunately, none of the opportunities I've missed were due to bad luck or my appearance. In fact, I've been fortunate enough to gain a few opportunities because of luck, and sometimes, because of my looks.”

I plan to do it once I have my own house in Mumbai: Sherleen Dutt on bringing Ganpati home

Sherleen Dutt, who has been part of shows like AFL (Anything For Love), KINK: Kiss Ishq N Konnection, Honey Trap Squad, and Koi Jaye Toh Le Aaye, to name a few, says it feels like the world changes when Bappa arrives. She said, “It’s a bigger festival than Diwali in Mumbai. Not just here, but all over India. During Diwali, people go back to their hometowns, but for Ganpati, they stay here just to be a part of the celebrations.”
She has been in Mumbai for several years now and said, “I’ve thought about bringing Ganpati home, but I plan to do it once I have my own house in Mumbai.” She shared that she feels blessed to have experienced the grandeur of the Ganpati festival and added, “The Ganpati festival is just over; all I can say is Ganpati Bappa Morea Agle Baras Tu Jaldi Aa. I have noticed a lot of pollution is caused by some people with crackers bursting. Already, global warming is an issue. Everyone should behave responsibly towards the environment."
Sherleen also said that she is a devotee of Lord Ganesha and remembers him before starting anything good. “I feel that when he arrives, everything starts falling into place, and during the days he stays, there’s a special connection. This might be why I haven’t brought him home yet—because I know I’d get so attached that I wouldn’t want him to leave,” she said.“The longer he stays, the stronger the attachment becomes. As for what I wish from Bappa, they say he’s the ‘Vighna Harta’. I just hope he takes away all the obstacles in my life. I also wish for balance in my personal and professional life, for growth, success, and prosperity, and that any negativity stays far away from me,” she ended.

Tensions rise as Vidya Refuses to attend Armaan and Abhira's wedding

Manish asks Abhira if she will give him the honor of performing her kanyadan, and he tells her that she looks just like his daughter. Abhira responds by saying that his parnanu equals her maika. Meanwhile, Ruhi plans to marry Armaan. Vidya is angry with Armaan, and despite his efforts to convince her, she leaves. Kaveri gives Armaan curd and sugar and tells everyone to get ready for the baraat. Kaveri also advises Armaan to give Vidya some time, as she will eventually understand.
On the other hand, Rohit wonders why Ruhi hasn't returned from the parlor, and he receives a text from her saying she will go directly to the venue, as she is bringing a special gift for Armaan and Abhira. Madhav tries to reason with Vidya, but she insists it’s her final decision not to attend the wedding. Vidya expresses that she now feels like a stepmother, as Armaan chose Abhira over her, and she believes he no longer needs her as a mother. Abhira says everything is going well but mentions that she misses Akshara a lot. Everyone dances in the baraat, and Armaan silently wishes for Vidya to attend. Meanwhile, Ruhi arrives at a temple and sets up a havan for her wedding with Armaan.
Manoj tells Madhav that Vidya will definitely come because she loves Armaan. Vidya, alone in her room, looks at Armaan's photo and cries, saying she will always wish the best for him, but she also hopes this marriage does not take place.
