Gujarat Governor visits Adani Vidya Mandir, recall Kalam’s life

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat on Monday visited the Adani Vidya Mandir in Ahmedabad, where he interacted with students and praised the Adani Foundation’s contribution to education. During the visit, he encouraged children to pursue their studies with dedication and shared life lessons from former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.“After coming here, I got to know the profound contribution the Adani Foundation is making to the field of education. Children like you are lighting the lamp of knowledge, so I am very happy to be here,” the Governor said while addressing the gathering. He noted that India is full of talent but many children are unable to progress due to a lack of opportunities. He congratulated the Adani Foundation for ensuring that financial constraints do not hold back deserving students.

Drawing from his long experience as an educator, Devvrat said, “I have taught children for 35 years. I run Gurukuls with 5,000 students, and I know the psychology of children and the ups and downs they go through. From waking up early in the morning to following a disciplined routine throughout the day, the Gurukul system prepares them to live with balance and focus.”Encouraging students to stay confident, the Governor told them, “The first thing you should believe in life is to never let an inferiority complex enter your life. Don’t think that coming from an ordinary family without luxury cars or big houses makes you any less. God has given every child enough strength to live a happy life. With honest hard work, all kinds of doors will open for you.”
The Governor also highlighted the importance of perseverance, saying that success comes through consistent effort. “History bears witness that children who worked hard from the beginning cannot be stopped from growing. You earned admission here through a written test because of your hard work, and that sets you apart,” he said.Sharing the inspiring journey of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Devvrat reminded students that even India’s former President came from a humble background. “He was the son of a fisherman, studied in a government school with no modern facilities, and often struggled to pay fees. Yet through dedication and learning, he rose to become the President of India and inspired millions,” the Governor said.
