The 6-member Indian team to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2024) has secured 4 GOLD Medals, 1 SILVER and 1 Honourable Mention. The (IMO 2024 held at Bath, United Kingdom. The team rank is 4th out of 108 participating countries. In all 609 students took part (528 Males, 81 Females) in IMO 2024. Adhitya Mangudy Venkata Ganesh (Pune, Maharashtra), Ananda Bhaduri (Guwahati, Assam),Kanav Talwar (Noida, Uttar Pradesh),Rushil Mathur (Mumbai, Maharashtra) win Gold while Arjun Gupta (Delhi) grabbed Silver medal.Siddharth Choppara (Pune, Maharashtra) Honourable mention.Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday it is a matter of immense joy and pride that India has come 4th in its best-ever performance in the International Maths Olympiad. "Our contingent has brought home 4 Golds and one Silver Medal. This feat will inspire several other youngsters and help make mathematics even more popular," he said in a post on X.This is the BEST performance in IMO by an Indian team since 1989, the year of debut, both in terms of number of GOLD MEDALS won and rank achieved.
