There is a saying - ‘thinking is difficult so people start judging.’

That always happens with Suman Kalyanpurkar. People immediately start comparing her with Lata as soon as her name comes for discussion. 
There is no need for any unnecessary comparisons. 
Lata was a singer in her own respect, so as Asha or Suman. 
Suman started her career with ‘Mangu’ film in 1954 under OP Nayyar’s baton. 
Sang 140 duets with Rafi alone; overall she might have sung thousands of songs in most of Indian languages.

She sang specially 740 songs in Hindi films alone.She was awarded the Padma Bhshan this year.
She, at the age of 87, still sings. 

Great singer !!
