Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday asked the party's state unit chiefs of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur to put in their papers to facilitate reorganisation of the Pradesh Congress Committees. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala tweeted that the resignations were sought to "facilitate the reorganisation" of the state Congress units.
