Shahnawaz,16 others inducted in Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's cabinet

In Bihar 17 ministers were included in Nitish Kumar cabinet .Nine ministers are  from BJP quota while eight  from alliance partnerJD(U).Governor Phagu Chauhan on Tuesday administered  the oath of office and secrecy to new ministers  at Rajbhawan in Patna. Senior BJP leader  and party spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain was included in the cabinet. Sumit Singh independent candidate also included in cabinet.Smt Lesi Singh of JD(U) became member of Nitish cabinet.Janak Ram of BJP who became minister is not a member of any house.

The BJP now has 16 ministers with 22 portfolios among them. The JDU has 13 ministers with 21 portfolios. A berth each has gone to Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha and the Vikassheel Insaan Party. The Bihar cabinet, which can have up to 36 members, had only 13, apart from the Chief Minister. Earlier, Shahnawaz Hussain was elected to the Legislative Council of Bihar triggering speculation about his induction in the Bihar cabinet.
