Sensex closes below 200 points, Nifty settles below 18800

The Indian equity market closes session in red amid negative global cues and selling in most of the sectors on Monday. At close, the Sensex was down 216.28 points or 0.34 percent at 63,168.30, and the Nifty was down 70.50 points or 0.37 percent at 18,755.45.
 Stocks and Sectors
HDFC Life,Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Tech Mahindra,TCS were top gainers on Nifty while losers included Adani Enterprises, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Axis Bank and Adani Ports.
On the sectoral front,auto, bank, realty, power, realty and FMCG were down 0.5 percent each, while the PSU bank index rose 1 percent and the Information Technology index added 0.4 percent, according to sources.
The BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended on a flat note..On 19 June'23 the Indian rupee closed flat against the dollar in a thinly traded market ending at 81.94 to the US currency, up 0.01 percent from its previous close, according to sources.
 Experts Take:
Market experts have recommended six stocks to buy for Monday — HUL, IndiGo, Titan, Ashok Leyland, Infosys and BEML.
