Government on Wednesday announced five per cent Dearness Allowance for Central Government employees and pensioners. Briefing media after Cabinet meeting in New delhi, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, it will benefit 50 lakh Central Government employees and 65 lakh pensioners. He described this as a Diwali gift from government and added that this will be paid from July 2019. The government has sanctioned a relief package for the displaced Kashmiri families, in which 5,300 displaced families will be given 5.5 lakh rupees per family. These families were earlier left out as they had settled elsewhere in country but came back to Kashmir later. Mr Javadekar said the decision will provide justice to these displaced amilies.Cabinet has also decided to relax till 30th November 2019, the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar seeding for release of benefits under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi after 1st August, 2019.
