In Punjab, at least two people died and several other injured in a collision between an LPG tanker and a pickup truck on the Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur highway near Mandiala village on Friday night. According to Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain, it is suspected that the fire was caused by a road accident in an industrial area involving an LPG tanker. The massive fire that burned homes, shops, and automobiles caused chaos and fear throughout the area. Around 10 pm, a Mahindra pickup truck rammed into an LPG tanker near Mandiala village. The tanker caught fire as a result of the impact, according to witnesses, and a loud explosion could be heard for kilometers. The pickup truck’s driver, who has not been named, was trapped inside his vehicle and died from burn injuries.

Before locals could react, the unexpected explosion swept fire over neighboring homes and businesses, turning many of them to ashes. Hoshiarpur civil surgeon Pawan Kumar confirmed, “One person has been declared dead here, while five patients have been brought in critical condition. Immediate medical care is being provided to all injured.
