After the strict action initiated by the UPSC,IAS probationer Puja Khedkar is likely to lose her job. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has filed a case against Puja Khedkar, who is under probe for allegedly forging disability certificates to clear the civil services exam. The commission sought to cancel her candidature in connection with the case.The Commossion has served a show cause notice for the cancellation of her candidature from the Civil Services Exam -2022 and to debar her from the future exams.A notification issued Friday afternoon said Ms Khedkar "fraudulently availed attempts beyond the permissible limit", and the UPSC had "initiated a series of actions against" the 23-year-old.These include Delhi Police filing charge, which include forgery, under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and IT Act.
Action against Ms Khedkar came hours after the Maharashtra government submitted a report to the centre, specifically the Department of Personnel and Training.The commission, in a statement, said it has conducted a detailed and thorough investigation in the misdemeanour of Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, a provisionally recommended candidate of the Civil Services Examination-2022. It has been revealed that she fraudulently availed attempts beyond the permissible limit under the examination rules by faking her identity by way of changing her name, her father’s and mother’s name, photograph, signature, her email ID, mobile number and address.
