President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday enshrined the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, marking a significant milestone as the temple’s construction reached completion.The sacred ‘Ram Yantra’ was placed on the second and final floor of the temple, symbolising spiritual completeness. The installation ceremony was conducted amid Vedic chants by scholars from southern India, Kashi, and Ayodhya under the guidance of priest Ganeshwar Shastri.With the placement of the Yantra, the construction of the grand temple is now considered complete, a development seen as a landmark moment in the long-awaited project.

President Murmu was received upon arrival by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.During her visit, the President is also set to honour nearly 400 workers who played a role in building the temple. She is scheduled to hoist a ceremonial flag at a shrine located within the outer premises(parkota) of the complex.The city wore a festive look ahead of the visit, with streets decorated in saffron flags and banners, reflecting a strong devotional atmosphere.
Officials said elaborate arrangements were made to ensure smooth conduct of the programme, including heightened security, traffic regulation, and sanitation measures. District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde noted that VIP darshan remained suspended for the day, while general devotees were allowed entry with temporary restrictions during the President’s visit.Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover confirmed that detailed security planning was undertaken to ensure safety and orderly movement during the high-profile visit.
