Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday called upon India’s space scientists to prepare for a new era of deep space exploration, highlighting that the vast universe holds secrets that could brighten the future of humanity.Addressing the nation on National Space Day through a video message, Modi announced that India would set up a dedicated pool of astronauts for upcoming missions and invited the country’s youth to be part of this pioneering initiative.

“We have reached the Moon and Mars. Now, we must peek into deep space, where several secrets that would benefit the future of humanity lie hidden,” Modi said. He emphasized that in science, exploration has no limits, adding, “Beyond galaxies lies our horizon. The endless universe tells us that no frontier is the final frontier. In the space sector too, at the policy level, there should be no final frontier.”The Prime Minister underlined India’s progress in developing advanced technologies, including electric propulsion systems and semi-cryogenic engines, as crucial for future space missions. He reiterated India’s commitment to ambitious projects, stating, “Soon, thanks to the hard work of you scientists, India will launch the Gaganyaan mission and will also build its own space station.”
Modi also called on private players to accelerate innovation in the space economy, posing a challenge to the startup ecosystem: “I would like the private sector to come forward can we reach a point where five startups become unicorns in the next five years? Can we aim to launch 50 rockets every year?”The address was attended by space scientists, students, and policymakers from across the country, underscoring the government’s vision of positioning India as a global leader in space exploration,according to information.
