PM asks young talent to create robust cyber security solutions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is uniquely positioned to leapfrog the world in the information era. Inaugurating the Bengaluru Tech Summit virtually on Thursday, he emphasized that it is time for the tech solutions designed in India to be deployed for the world. India has the best minds and biggest market, he said Indian tech has the potential to go global. 

Citing a few such examples of Indian products meeting global standards, he named UPI umbrella platform where everyone can host digital payment products and plug in digital payments. He informed that two billion financial transactions were recorded on this platform during the last month. Similar such platform is being created for the National Digital Health Mission. Swamitva is another such initiative that provides land titles in the rural areas ending land disputes and empowering the people.

The Prime Minister assured IT, innovation and other tech industries of liberal policy framework. He said that the Government has eased the compliance burden of the IT Industry, engaged with the stakeholders in the Tech industry to create a future framework for the growth of the sector. Prime Minister called upon the young talents to create robust cyber security solutions to protect our data and IT based products. He laid emphasis on a sound data governance framework. Talking about the role of technology in the defence sector, the Prime Minister said that the global conflicts are based on technological innovations where data analytics play a crucial role.
