Novak Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal to advance to the third round of Paris Olympics 2024 men's singles. Djokovic won the first set 6-1 without any trouble, and was marching towards victory in a similar fashion in the second round before Nadal, down by two breaks, returned the favour to pull off a mini comeback. However, Djokovic broke back in the next game to kill the tie. This is the 60th time that Djokovic and Nadal are facing-off, with the Serb up 31-29 in the head-to-head stats after Monday's win.
Job done.

Nadal looked down and out midway through the second set, but the 14-time French Open champion has plenty of history at Roland-Garros and did not go down without a fight.
