In Madhya Pradesh,Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated seven National Highway projects worth Rs 2,444 crore in Rewa on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Addressing the gathering, Gadkari said, with the construction of Churhat tunnel and bypass, the length between Rewa to Sidhi has decreased by seven kilometers. He said, with the construction of the Satna-Bela four-lane road, connectivity will become easier for the coal, cement, and diamond industries in the region. The Minister also inaugurated Madhya Pradesh's first six-lane twin tunnel of 2.28-kilometer length and a 13-kilometer four - lane bypass in Rewa. Gadkari said it’s the first ‘aqua duct’ of India. Bansagar canal and road have been built on it.
