Nifty closes near record 26,200 mark, Sensex up 446 pts

The domestic share market indices continued their upward momentum for a second straight session on Thursday, driven by Nvidia’s robust quarterly results and optimistic Q4 sales outlook.At close, the Sensex was up 446.21 points or 0.52 percent at 85,632.68, and the Nifty was up 139.50 points or 0.54 percent at 26,192.15.Nifty Bank continued hitting fresh record high on the fourth consecutive session. The index touched new high of 59,440.10, finishing 0.22% higher at 59,347.70, according to information.
Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Reliance Industries, Tech Mahindra were the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Asian Paints, HCL Technologies, Titan Company, Apollo Hospitals and Tata Steel.On the sectoral front, auto, capital goods, oil & gas, private bank, energy up 0.2-0.6%, while consumer durable, media, PSU Bank down 0.3-1.5 percent.Broader indices underperformed the main indices with BSE Midcap and smallcap indices ending marginally lower.
Rupee Close: 
On 20 Nov'25,the Indian rupee depreciated 23 paise to close at 88.71  against the U.S. dollar on Thursday, on broad strength of the American currency and fading odds of a rate cut by the U.S. Federal Reserve.Forex traders said the dollar has staged a rally, moving above the 100 level, after the U.S. Federal Reserve minutes indicated that most officials were opposed to a rate cut in December, following the October cut.

The near-term outlook remains positive, though investors should stay cautious ahead of key U.S. economic data that may create short-term volatility.
Market experts recommended five shares to buy on Thursday- Sanathan Textiles, KRN Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration, Latent View Analytics, Pearl Global Industries, and Zota Health Care.
