National Ski and SnowBoard Championship-2022 is being organized from February 7-9, 2022 at Nanda Devi Ski Slope, Mountaineering and Ski Institute (M&SI), ITBP Auli, Uttarakhand. The competing teams include the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Indian Army, and other 18 teams of various states with a total of 279 participants. Participants in the Senior, Junior and Sub Junior category will showcase their talent in the competitions of Alpine Ski, Slalom, Joint Slalom, SnowBoard Slalom, Joint Slalom.
The 3 day Championship was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. S S Sandhu, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttarakhand at the premises of M&SI ITBP, Auli on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary said that after getting the approval to organize the competition, the organizers the GMVN, ITBP, Tourism and Sports Association have made very good preparations in a very short time. He said that more and more such events should be organized so that aspiring youth can participate and can bring laurels to the country by winning medals at national and international level championships.
