In the Muhurat trading session, the Sensex has climbed 400 points, while the Nifty was trading above the 24,300 mark, reflecting strong investor sentiment. The Muhurat Trading session was scheduled between 6 pm and 7 pm on Friday on November 1, 2024 and it marks the commencement of the new Samvat 2081. The 30-share index increased 447.90 points, or 0.56 per cent, to 79,836.96 as all of its constituents traded in the green. The index opened higher at 80,023.75 but shed some gains later. The 50-issue Nifty of the NSE spurted 150.10 points, or 0.62 per cent, to 24,355.45 with 47 of its constituents ending in the green. Sensex closes by 335.06 points or 0.42% up at 79,724. Nifty closes by 94.20 points up at 24,299.All the sectoral indices are trading in the green with auto, realty, and power up 1 percent each. M&M, ONGC and BEL have emerged as the top gainers. During the Samvat year 2080, which ended on Thursday, the BSE Sensex jumped 14,484.38 points, or 22.31 percent, while the Nifty climbed 4,780 points, or 24.60 percent.
