Maneka and Varun Gandhi dropped from BJP national body

In a reshuffle, Varun Gandhi, and Maneka Gandhi, MPs from UP, has not found his birth in BJP's Natioanl Executive. Former union minister Birendra Singh, Subramaniam Swami, S S Ahluwalia,Varun and his mother Maneka Gandhi’s names were found missing from the party’s national executive committee list that was released by national president JP Nadda on Thursday. The names of its top brass, ranging from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to many Union ministers, several state leaders and veterans like LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi figured in the list.The National Executive has 80 members. Besides 80 regular members, the executive will also have 50 special invitees and 179 permanent invitees (ex-officio), including Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Legislature Party Leader, former Deputy Chief Minister, National Spokesperson, National Front President, State. In-charge, co-in-charge, state president, state general secretary organisation and organiser are included.

While Varun Gandhi represents Pilibhit in the Lower House, Maneka is a Lok Sabha MP from Sultanpur. As per media reports, Varun Gandhi  has been vocal about the policies of the Centre in the context of the farm laws and the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. On Thursday, the BJP leader also tweeted two videos of the incident from violence-hit UP district, demanding action against the accused.
