London–Hyderabad British Airways flight receives bomb threat

A Hyderabad-bound British Airways flight from London received a bomb threat, prompting airport authorities to activate standard safety procedures after the aircraft landed safely at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, airport officials said on Tuesday.According to sources, the airport’s customer support service received an email on Monday warning of a bomb threat to British Airways flight BA 277 operating from Heathrow to Hyderabad. 
Following the alert, security agencies moved swiftly to handle the situation in line with established protocols.“The aircraft landed safely and standard safety procedures were immediately initiated. The flight has since departed for Heathrow,” sources said.As part of the protocol, the aircraft was isolated, passengers and baggage were thoroughly screened, fire engines were kept on standby and sniffer dogs were deployed to carry out checks, officials added.Earlier this month, the airport received similar threat emails targeting two other international flights — an IndiGo service operating from Madina to Hyderabad and another from Sharjah to Hyderabad. The Madina–Hyderabad flight was diverted to Ahmedabad as a precautionary measure.
