But due to lack of satisfaction, he started eating everything around him. By the order of Brahmaji, all the gods defeated that demon and buried it in the ground. The gods stood on his body.

As a boon of Brahma, Vastu Purush got a place among the gods, got the right of being worshipped, and it was said that construction work on earth would be successful only when Vastu Purush would be worshipped and he would be pleased by offering sacrifices, etc. This Vastu Purush has become the Vaastu deity. The other deities were not instructed to move away from the Vastu Purush, so they are present on the Vastu Purush's body forever and ever.
