BCCI has said that a limited number of fans will be allowed to watch Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 matches in the UAE as the tournament gears up for resumption from September 19.The remainder of the IPL 2021 will be played across three venues in the UAE -- Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi and all three venues will have limited seating available, keeping in mind the Covid-19 protocols in the UAE.
IPL 2021 resumes with the five-time champions and current title holders Mumbai Indians taking on three-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 19. This match will be a momentous occasion as IPL will welcome the fans back to the stadiums after a brief hiatus owing to Covid-19 situation, the IPL said in a statement. Tickets for the matches will be available from Thursday, September 16. IPL 2021 was suspended due to Covid-19 cases in the bio-bubbles of franchises in New Delhi and Ahmedabad in May.
