India-US trade talks on track: Piyush Goyal

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday said that the first tranche of the India-US trade deal is expected to be finalised by November.He noted that discussions between the two countries are progressing in a positive direction and that both sides are satisfied with the outcomes so far. Speaking to reporters in poll-bound Bihar, Goyal recalled that in February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump had instructed their ministers to work on the pact and ensure that the first tranche is ready by November this year. Later, addrssing the Bihar Idea Festival 2025 in Patna,  Goyal said the road and rail infrastructure projects approved by the Union Cabinet will fast-track the development of the state.. Goyal praised the development works carried out in Bihar during the NDA’s tenure. He said that due to the “double-engine government,” Bihar has made progress in every sector. He expressed confidence that once again the NDA government will be formed in the state.He alleged that Lalu Yadav and his family kept Bihar backward with a purpose so that people could not dream big.

The development in Bihar and the enthusiasm among the youth of the state. The way PM Modi at the Centre and Nitish Kumar in the state, by the way of a double engine govt, are working to give a bright future to the state...I am sure after witnessing the development in the state, a BJP-NDA govt, in the leadership of Nitish Kumar, will be formed again.."
