In Cricket, India have lifted the Asia Cup Trophy. In the final at R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, India demolished the hosts by 10 wickets. Chasing the victory target of 51 runs, Indian openers notched up the required target in just 6.1 overs. Shubham Gill remained unbeaten on 27 while Ishan Kishan made 23 not out.
Earlier, deciding to bat, Sri Lanka were bundled out for just 50 runs in 15.2 overs. For Sri Lanka, only Kual Mendis and Dushan Hemantha could score in double digits. Mohammad Siraj ripped through the Sri Lankan batting line up, taking six wickets. Hardik Pandya took three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah one.
