Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Saturday announced that the government is aiming to boost the income of cattle rearers by twenty per cent over the next five years by implementing a circular economy model in the dairy sector. The Minister made the announcement while addressing a public meeting in Sanadar, Gujarat, after inaugurating a Bio-CNG and Fertiliser Plant of Banas Dairy. Highlighting the successful implementation of the circular economy by Banas Dairy, Shah reiterated that the government is working to replicate this model across all dairies in India.
The Minister vowed to ensure the success of White Revolution 2.0, focusing on four major targets: the National Gokul Mission, Animal Husbandry infrastructure, National Animal Disease Control Programme, and revamped dairy development. Shah noted that a delegation of parliamentarians is currently visiting Banas Dairy to review the growth story of Asia’s largest dairy.
