President elect Joe Biden has said said, “I do not see red states and blue states, but only the United States.” Addressing his supporters in Wilmigton, he also reached out to Trump supporters and said that it would be hard to reach out to them but they are also major part of the nation-building process. “I would also thank African Americans who stood by me. I have your back as you had by back,” Joe Biden further added thanking minority communities for voting for him. Biden promised to unite Americans, not to divide.
Vice-president elect Kamala Harris thanked supporters and said, “‘You chose hope, decency, science and truth. You chose Joe Biden.” Kamala Harris in her speech specially mentioned how African American women are often overlooked and how they form a backbone of the United States.
