The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’,75 years of independence. Under this campaign, the national flag will be hoisted atop the houses along with government and private establishments from 13-15 August across the country through public participation. People who are interested in joining the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign must visit the official website – harghartiranga.com – and follow the steps given at the end of this article to register and get featured on the portal. They will also receive a certificate of participation. Modi has requested all the people of India to hoist the national flag in their homes as a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative. The prime minister also urged people to change the display pictures of their social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to the Tiranga or tricolour.
The National Flag of India was adopted in its present form during the meeting of Constituent Assembly held on July 22 1947, a few days before India's independence from the British on 15 August, 1947. The term "tricolour" refers to the Indian national flag. The Indian National Flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people of the country. It is the symbol of our national pride. Flag is a symbol of national pride and is one of the dignified national symbols. It is popularly known as the Tiranga, which signifies the three colours- deep saffron, white and deep green. The National flag occupies a position of honour. Therefore, it needs to be distinctly placed. Indian flag has a rich history.

Usage of the flag is governed by the Flag Code. The Flag code of India came into effect on January 26, 2002, and went through some amendments on December 30, 2021. The new code includes displaying the national flag in open areas of the house that can be flown through day and night.One can now buy the Indian flag from an authentic government marketplace at just Rs 25. The Department of Post has announced an online sale of national flags through the ePostoffice portal. The sale and distribution of the flag through the ePost office Portal commenced on August 1. According to the department, once an order was placed, no cancellation would be allowed. The delivery of the flag will be made free of cost to the customer by the nearest post office after payment is confirmed.
