Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that the path to a developed India passes through the farmer’s field, through the villages and hence I appeal to the farmer that you should not limit yourself to production because due to this the farmer is not able to connect himself to the big economy. The farmer should also participate in the purchase and sale of his produce. The Vice President was addressing the inaugural session of the three-day Krishi Udyog Sammelan in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh on Monday. Dhankhar appealed to the farmers that they should not limit themselves to production only, because a big change in the income of farmers will come only when they do business along with agriculture.

He further said that the Government of India is helping the farmers a lot, in the form of subsidies. The Prime Minister had started a scheme, Kisan Samman Nidhi, but I would request all the organizations to evaluate how good it would be if the subsidy given to the farmer goes directly to the farmer, and not through someone else, like fertilizer subsidy, it is a huge amount. He said that farmers probably do not realize that so much help is being given by the Government, but if this money is sent directly to every farmer, then every farmer will get Rs 30,000-35,000 per year. the Vice President said.
Dhankhar also inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 86 construction works worth about Rs 116 crore in Narsinghpur district. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav were also present on this occasion.
