Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced that her government has allowed cultural and religious events such as Ramleela and Durga Puja celebrations to continue till 12 midnight, extending the previous 10 pm deadline.Asserting that “Ram rajya should come in Delhi,” Gupta said the relaxation was aimed at ensuring that Hindu festivals are celebrated without restrictions. “I always used to say that our Hindu festivals were facing problems. When in Gujarat, Dandiya can go on all night and events can take place throughout the night, then what is the fault of the people of Delhi?” the chief minister remarked.
