Congress has the policy of divide, lie and rule, says PM Modi

Attacking the Congress,Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said, " Congress has the policy of divide, lie and rule. They are gold, silver and bronze medal winners in telling lies". Modi  also mentioned Rahul Gandhi's fisheries ministry gaffe, saying, "Congress leader will say that he will make a ministry for fisheries. I was shocked. It was the current government that created the ministry in 2019". Modi said that the previous Congress Government in Puducherry was only interested in serving the high command in Delhi.

Prime Minister said that the people of Puducherry in 2016 voted for Congress thinking that the promises from the Congress Government would be fulfilled.He assured that the people of Puducherry would get the people powered government. Modi promised the people of Puducherry that he will make Puducherry one of the best places in the country. He also unveiled and laod the foundation stone for several welfare projects to the value of 3,023 crore rupees in Puducherry. Under the Sagarmala scheme, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for developing a minor port in Puducherry at a cost of 44 crore rupees. This project will give connectivity to Chennai and facilitate Cargo movement for industries in Puducherry.

Later he also visited Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Addressing a rally he said the state government here is the "perfect example of cooperative federalism". PM Modi claimed that the manner in which the Centre and the Tamil Nadu government have worked is a "classic example of cooperative federalism".
