'CEC doing politics', Kejriwal on row over Yamuna poisoning claim

The Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday accused Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar of “destroying” the credibility of the Election Commission of India and alleged that he was indulging in politics by issuing a notice over his claim that the Haryana government was “mixing poison” in the Yamuna river. Accusing him of seeking a post-retirement job, Kejriwal said he would send three bottles of Yamuna water to Kumar and his Election Commissioners and challenged him to drink the water. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Kejriwal alleged "No one has damaged the Election Commission the way Rajiv Kumar has done. If he wants, he can contest elections from any of the Delhi Assembly seats."
Earlier, Election Commission directed Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal to file a specific and pointed reply to its notice related to his allegations of poisoning the Yamuna River by Friday morning. The Commission, in its letter to  Kejriwal, has asked him to submit his reply to his comments without mixing it with an ongoing, long-standing and legally governed issue of increased levels of Ammonia. The poll panel has sought to know what kind of poison was mixed by the Haryana Government in the river, supporting evidence about quantity, nature and manner of detecting the poison which could have caused genocide. It also wanted to know the location where the poison was detected as alleged, which engineers of the Delhi Jal Board detected it and what methodology was adopted. The Commission, while going through his reply to its notice, said that the response by Kejriwal is entirely silent on his statement of poisoning of river Yamuna by the BJP-led Haryana government.
