Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said, the report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the alleged Pakistani links of state Congress president Gaurav Gogoi and his family, is very explosive and contains serious allegations, which he described as a matter of “deep concern”. "We have recovered many important documents related to the sovereignty of our country," he said and alleged that It is a kind of cartel that was working to defame the development processes of our country. "the Assam cabinet will discuss the report and take the next step and its contents will be made public," he said in Guwahati. The report has 96 pages which was constituted by the State government. The SIT has submitted its report on Thursday. The report,prepared with limited means, yet carrying heavy truths. Just a glance was enough to stir deep pain, he alleged. Ge said, the report establishes the role of key actors whose actions are not in India’s interest.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Gogoi has criticised Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for allegedly making a mockery of his chair with his actions, and said he felt sorry for him. The Congress leader also alleged that the CM's words have lost all credibility. Gogoi, apparently reacting to the CM's statements on an SIT report, said, ''I feel sorry for a Chief Minister whose words have lost all credibility and whose actions have made a mockery of the chair of the Chief Minister."
