The domestic equity benchmark indices ended higher for the third straight session on Thursday, followed by the positive performance of global stocks, buoyed by a favorable U.S. inflation report, which heightened expectations of a potential interest rate cut in the U.S.At close,the Sensex was up 204.33 points or 0.27 percent at 76,810.90, and the Nifty was up 75.95 points or 0.33 percent at 23,398.90. About 2048 shares advanced, 1371 shares declined, and 80 shares unchanged.

●Motilal Oswal initiates coverage on Mankind Pharma,
●Jefferies maintains a buy rating on Nykaa.
Shriram Finance, HDFC Life, Divis Labs, M&M and Titan Company were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included HUL, Power Grid Corp, Axis Bank, Britannia Industries and Eicher Motors.
On the sectoral front, Capital Goods and Realty were up 2 percent each, and Information Technology index rose 1 percent, while Media index shed 1 percent and FMCG index fell 0.6 percentBSE Midcap and Smallcap indices up nearly 1 percent each.
Rupee Close:
On 13 June'24,the Indian rupee ended flat at 83.54 against the US dollar on Thursday, amid broad strength of the American currency in the overseas market and elevated crude oil prices. Forex traders said the local unit also faced some resistance owing to subdued macroeconomic data on the domestic front.
