Murder, passion and intrigue… ALTT’s latest movie Qaatil Haseena is all set to keep you on the edge of your seats, glued to your TV screens. The story of the movie revolves around a murder mystery, and what’s different? Well, this time we already know the killer right from the start.Actress Sakshi Pradhan plays the role of Shanaya in the film. Demure, beautiful but also voracious; Sakhi has many shades of her character’s personality, all rolled into one. The trailer gives us just a sneak peak of the brilliant performances that await us in this movie.
The trailer starts in the most impactful way, taking you by surprise when a romantic rendition of a popular song on the guitar, turns into a gruesome murder. What happens next is equally captivating. We soon get to know that there have been not one, but many murders! There is also a hint of a double role, or a split personality, as we see two different Shanayas. One who is the bold killer, licking blood off her hands, and another who seems rather mild and coy.
Meanwhile, we have Sharon Panday playing the role of Inspector Sarita, and Vikram Sakhalkar playing Rohit in the film. The 90 minute long movie is all set to release on next Friday, May 31st. Well, we surely can’t wait for this one!

Actress Shivangi Verma, who was last seen in Control Room, feels social media has played a big role in starting the conversation around the LGBTQ+ community and the issues they face. She believes it has made it easy to discuss.“Social media has played an important role in initiating conversations about topics like LGBTQ+ issues. Before social media, discussing such topics was considered taboo, and people felt ashamed to talk about them. But now, it's become more normal and easier to discuss,” she said.
“Many influencers from the LGBTQ+ community have emerged on social media and in real life, and they're thriving. They not only excel in their own lives but also advocate for their community. I believe these individuals are more humane, sensible, and better than many of us in every aspect,” she added.
Shivangi asserted that people who belong to the LGBTQ+ community should come out of the closet, and others should make them feel comfortable. “They should never feel like they're abnormal or anything like that, because I don't think they're abnormal in any way. Love is love, and feelings are feelings, you can't control them, so let them flow. Let your true self out of the closet. Who cares what people think? We only have one life to live, why waste it worrying about what others think?” she said.
She also stressed that movies and shows are playing an important role in creating awareness about LGBTQ+ issues. She said, “The scripts of movies and shows that involve these topics are beautifully written, often in a subtle way. I personally love watching such movies and shows.”
“For example, Cobalt Blue has beautifully written characters and script, while Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui explores the topic in depth with a mix of drama and comedy. Another great example is the show The Married Woman, which is one of the best shows I've seen and contributes to spreading awareness about these important issues. It's clear that entertainment is playing an important role in creating,understanding and acceptance regarding this topic,” she added.
What more can be done? “I believe we need to start by having open conversations about LGBTQ+ topics and stop treating them as taboo. It's perfectly normal, and these people are just as normal as anyone else; we need to understand that. Secondly, it's crucial to include these topics in the school curriculum so that children can gain a thorough understanding. Lastly, it's important for us to treat LGBTQ+ people with the respect they deserve because, in my view, they are creations of God, and hurting or disrespecting them is equal to hurting or disrespecting God,” Shivangi ended.

Actress Aalisha Panwar says that it is very important to not reveal your real-time location people on social media followers. She adds that it is unsafe to give out all information on social media, as not everyone has the best intentions.“In the past, I used to share my travel details and locations on social media platforms like Instagram. It felt like a natural way to connect with my fans and share exciting moments from my journeys. However, I've become more cautious about revealing my exact whereabouts in real-time especially after reading about few cases,” she says.
She adds, “While sharing location information can be useful for recommendations and connecting with others, it's crucial to consider the potential dangers. Now, I believe in enjoying the moment and sharing the experience afterward, once I've moved on to the next destination. Stalkers do exist on social media.” She says that sharing locations later helps you to enjoy the place more as well. “It allows me to enjoy the experience fully without worrying about my safety in real-time. By sharing details afterward, I can still engage with my audience and inspire others to explore similar places without compromising my security,” she says.
She adds, “I also advise sharing photos and experiences without revealing precise locations in real-time. This approach allows me to maintain a level of privacy and security while still sharing the beauty of my adventures with my followers.”

'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain' actor Feroz Khan died on May 23. He was popularly known for mimicking Amitabh Bachchan. Actress Charrul Malik, who is also part of the popular comedy show, shares her feelings on the late actor. She says,”I met him several times at award shows and he has also visited our show's set once when I was there. I got to meet him then, and he was very gentle, very down-to-earth. His comic timing was fantastic, and I've encountered him in various places like shows and events. He was a very simple, down-to-earth, next-door guy, always happy and smiling.“ She also adds,”I remember a funny incident with him at an award show. We ended up sitting next to each other, and he jokingly said, "Oh, you used to be on the news beat, how did you end up in acting? Were you acting on the news or are you acting now?" He made a playful comment like that. Then he mentioned, "Oh, now you're also in 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai,' I heard. I'll meet you when I have a scene with you, and we'll make some reels together." We didn't meet much after that, just a couple of times from a distance, but he always appreciated my work in reels whenever we crossed paths. We shot a nice family scene in Bhabiji and had a great time. I don’t know if he was distressed or not, I have no clue at all, but it’s sad to hear that all this happened due to stress. He was a very jovial person, very sweet and kind-hearted, I can't imagine that there is so much inside him he has kept hidden.”
