Bihar assembly elections are now due in October-November this year. Although Corona crisis is yet to reach its end... however the permutation combinations on cast basis in major political parties begin.
According to political sources, RJD wants to project Tejashvi Yadav as CM face of Mahagathbandhan, but majority of allies including Congress has reservation and that is the reason the party has not opned its card. Tejasvi’s apology card for his father mother (mis)rule is also being seen as political gimmick. The party is also facing exodus of old and senior leaders from the party like Professor Raghuvansh Prasad Singh and others. Observers say that these old guards were Lalu’s trusted men and Tejashvi miserably failed to win over his father's trusted lieutenants, which is bound to dent the party’s image and prospects. It will be interesting to see how much Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder and estrange brother, support his younger brother “politically”.
Latest indication says that Jitan Ram Manjhi and HAM supremo is also in a mood to change his side and exploring the possibility in NDA.The scenario in NDA allies also appears not differnt when LJP said that the party is against projecting Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister.
Reports say that LJP cheif Chirag Paswan seems set for tough political bargain with JD(U) and Bihar specially after sacking Munger district chief for his innocuous statement on NDA's unity. Sniffing the political opportunity... Congress responded to Chirag Paswan and offer to project him as CM.
LJP soureces deny any possibility to switch over from NDA to Mahagathbandhan. BJP also reiterate that all allies in NDA are united and there is no rift in the alliance partners. But if the past political history of Ram Vilas Paswan and recent offer from Congress is observed, an interesting permutation combination equation in coming up state assembly election is gaining ground and political analyst curiously focus on LJP.
Meanwhile BJP begin its virtual campaign through video...mobilising dedicated party workers and highliting its achievment on development schems done for Bihar. Now one thing is sure that the coming assembly elections in Bihar will be fought without Lalu Yadav and after apology by his son Tejashvi, it will be interesting to see whether Rabari Devi, ex-CM and wife of Lalu Yadav, goes for caimpaning? One can say that Tejasvi has more trouble at his home front. Ultimately the outcome will depend on cast equation for every political party.
