Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, MP is all set to position itself as a world-class tourism destination with the organization of the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM) 2025, to be held from October 11 to 13 at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal.Organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, this three-day global event will bring together domestic and international buyers, sellers, travel agents, film representatives, and stakeholders from across the tourism sector on a common platform. The mart will host over 700 participants, including more than 80 foreign tour operators from 27 countries, 150 domestic tour operators, 355 sellers, film representatives, and media professionals. It is set to be India’s largest state-level travel mart, reinforcing Madhya Pradesh’s image as the “Heart of Incredible India.”
Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi said the event, organized in collaboration with FICCI, will serve as a significant platform to connect Madhya Pradesh’s hoteliers, travel operators, homestay owners, and other stakeholders with global buyers. “This initiative will not only enhance tourist inflow into the state but will also open new opportunities for economic growth and generate local employment,” he said.
According to information,the event will feature more than 3,000 B2B meetings, marking the largest business engagement ever held in Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector. International conferences and roundtable sessions will be organized with state tourism departments, investors, and corporate event organizers to explore opportunities across tourism, hospitality, weddings, and MICE sectors. Senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism and several state tourism departments will also take part in the deliberations.Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism, Culture, Home, and Religious Trusts & Endowments) Sheo Shekhar Shukla said MPTM 2025 will highlight the state’s diverse offerings — including heritage, wildlife, rural tourism, handicrafts, cuisine, and film tourism. Over 120 exhibition stalls will feature handicraft and handloom products, with live demonstrations of Gond art and Chanderi saree weaving. Dedicated stalls for tourism stakeholders and investment promotion activities will be part of the exhibition.The event will also see announcements of new tourism projects and collaborations under the State Film Policy. A 40-minute cultural performance choreographed by Maitreyee Pahari will depict the state’s natural beauty and heritage, while the iconic Maihar Band and various tribal and folk dance troupes will add cultural vibrancy to the event.
Chief Minister’s Investor Meetings and Key Sessions
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lead investor meetings and participate in thematic sessions such as:“Madhya Pradesh: From Hidden Gem to Global Icon” – focusing on heritage, wildlife, eco-tourism, and festivals,“The Future of the Film Sector in Madhya Pradesh: From Reel to Real Growth”–exploring opportunities in film production and film-based tourism.Both sessions will include participation from industry experts, investors, and policymakers from India and abroad.
Influencer Meet and Familiarization Tours
An Influencer Meet was held on Thursday, bringing together top travel and lifestyle influencers from across India. Additionally, 14 Familiarization (FAM) Trips were organized for over 200 delegates, offering immersive experiences across the state’s wildlife, heritage, cultural, and spiritual circuits.Delegates in Bhopal also participated in local experiences such as a Heritage Walk from Kamla Park to Iqbal Maidan, Yoga and Wellness sessions, Bird Watching at Van Vihar National Park, and Kayaking and Sailing at the Boat Club.
According to information,the mart will see participation from leading figures in the travel, hospitality, and film industries, including Jyotsna Suri (CMD, The Lalit Group), Parveen Chander (Executive Vice President, IHCL), Rajiv Mehra (President, FAITH), Ved Khanna (President, ADTOI), Manish Puri (President – Sales, Air India), Anirudh Kandpal (Co-founder & Senior VP – Postcard Hotels), Ravi Gosain (President, IATO), Rakesh Kumar Rana (Head – Hotels, Yatra.com), and Sushrut Sudhir Babulkar (Serendipity Lakes & Resorts, Tamia).From the film industry, notable personalities such as Ekta Kapoor, Sunita Rajwar, Gajraj Rao, Raghuvir Yadav, Vishal Furia, Monisha Advani, Anna Saura, Lara Molina, and Shivankit Singh Parihar will be part of the event. Pavilions from Madhya Pradesh Tourism, IRCTC, Incredible India, and various state tourism departments will also feature prominently.
