Ekta Nagar witnessed a grand beginning of Bharat Parv 2025 as Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the 15-day celebration at the Statue of Unity premises. The event marks a vibrant showcase of India’s unity in diversity, cultural richness, and traditional heritage, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “One India Best India.”
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel highlighted the guiding mantra given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Many states, one nation; many communities, one India; many languages, one sentiment; many colors, one tricolor.” He said that Bharat Parv embodies this sentiment by presenting the nation’s diversity through a celebration of culture, cuisine, and craftsmanship.The Chief Minister emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always prioritized the nation’s collective well-being, guided by the philosophy of “not just self, but the well-being of all.” He added that the Prime Minister’s vision of transforming the Statue of Unity and Ekta Nagar into a world-class tourist destination is taking shape, turning the region into a symbol of nature, progress, and cultural heritage. “Ekta Nagar stands as a living example of ‘One India – Best India,’ showcasing our unity to the world,” he remarked.Bhupendra Patel stated that Bharat Parv will revive the essence of Indian traditions over the next 15 days, offering citizens a unique opportunity to experience the nation’s cultural and regional diversity in one place. He also called upon everyone to dedicate themselves to the goal of building a self-reliant and best India by following the Prime Minister’s mantra of “Together for Everyone’s Development, Trust, and Effort.”
Features of Bharat Parv 2025
Bharat Parv 2025 features cultural performances from two states each evening, reflecting the diversity of India’s traditions and artistic expressions. The event hosts 45 food stalls and a live studio kitchen serving regional dishes from across the states and union territories, along with 55 stalls displaying handicrafts and handlooms. The Bharat Darshan Pavilion has been designed to showcase famous tourist attractions and cultural highlights from various states.A special presentation has been planned on November 15 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda, referred to as the “god of tribals.”
Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Birsa Munda
The Chief Minister underlined that Bharat Parv is being organized as part of the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man and creator of an undivided India. He said that Prime Minister Modi paid the greatest tribute to Sardar Patel through the construction of the world’s tallest statue — the Statue of Unity — symbolizing India’s unity and strength.He noted that Sardar Patel united 562 princely states to form one India, while Prime Minister Modi is now leading the nation on the path toward building the “best India” through development and self-reliance. “We are fortunate to have a leader who places the nation’s welfare above individual interests,” Patel said.He recalled that for years, the celebration of Sardar Jayanti was limited to formal programs, but since 2014, Prime Minister Modi has transformed it into National Unity Day to truly honor Sardar Saheb’s legacy. The Chief Minister said the Statue of Unity and the development of Ekta Nagar exemplify how visionary leadership can transform an entire region into a global destination.
Celebrating Unity through Culture and Festivals
Bhupendra Patel emphasized that the spirit of “One India – Best India” is reflected in the festivals celebrated across the country — whether it be Gujarat’s Navratri-Garba, Maharashtra’s Ganapati festival, Bihar’s Chhath Puja, or West Bengal’s Durga Puja each festival unites people beyond regional boundaries.He highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi’s inspiration, events such as the Madhavpur Fair, Saurashtra-Tamil Sangam, and Kashi Tamil Sangam have strengthened national unity by connecting different regions and communities. Bharat Parv continues this tradition by bringing together diverse cultural and regional expressions under one platform.
Transforming Ekta Nagar into a Global Tourism Hub
The Chief Minister reiterated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to develop Ekta Nagar and the Statue of Unity into a world-class tourism hub, blending development with India’s cultural and historical heritage. He encouraged citizens to embrace local traditions and contribute to nation-building through unity and collective effort.Following the inauguration, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited various stalls at Bharat Parv and interacted with participants. The event was attended by Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary, State Minister for Tribal Development and Food Supplies P.C. Baranda, along with Members of Parliament, legislators, and senior officials including MP Jasubhai Rathwa, MLA Dr. Darshanaben Deshmukh, District Panchayat President Bhimsinh Tadvi, MD Mukesh Puri from S.S.N.A.L., Tourism Secretary Rajendra Kumar, MD Prabhav Joshi from Tourism Corporation, CEO Amit Arora from Statue of Unity, Tribal Development Commissioner Ashish Kumar, District Collector S.K. Modi, Police DG Sandeep Singh, District Police Chief Vishakha Dabaral, and Additional Collector from SOU Gopal Bamaniya.
