In Rajasthan, the Congress government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot won the trust vote through voice vote on Friday. The victory in the House came after Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot camp ended their feud earlier this week and joined forces, cementing Congress government's majority in the Assembly. Legislative Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal introduced the motion for vote of confidence in the Legislative Assembly on behalf of the State Government, which was debated in the house. The house has been adjourned till August 21, said Assembly Speaker CP Joshi.
"The vote of confidence which was brought by the government has been passed with a very good majority", Sachin Pilot said.During the debate, both CM Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot had presented a united front and attacked the opposition party BJP for its alleged role in a conspiracy to topple the Congress government.
