Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wedesday honoured the CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, DRG, and CoBRA personnel who successfully executed Operation Black Forest at Karreguttalu Hill in Chhattisgarh. The security forces had eliminated 31 notorious Naxals in this massive operation against Naxalism, conducted on the Kurraguttalu Hills on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. The anti-Naxal operation took place from 21st April to 11th May this year. State Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Shah said that the bravery and valour of the jawans during the Operation will be remembered as a golden chapter in the history of the anti-Naxal operations. He said that the Modi government will not rest until all the Naxalites either surrender, are caught or eliminated, and the country is Naxal-free. Home Minister said that despite the heat, altitude and the danger of IEDs at every step, the security forces made the operation successful with high spirits and destroyed the base camp of the Naxalites.
