In Ahmedabad Cricket test, India reached 294 for 7 at stumps, lead England by 89 runs. Washington Sundar hammered his 3rd Test fifty as he kept up India's momentum after Rishabh Pant was dismissed for 101 by seamer James Anderson. India have lost seven wickets with Washington Sundar on 60 and Axar Patel on 11 were at the crease when stumps in the fourth and final Test match.
Earlier, after resuming their play from the overnight score of 24 for one, India lost six wickets before the Tea on second day. Top guns including Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane parted in quick succession and Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli were removed for duck. After the departure of Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar also registered a half-century. For the visitors, James Anderson claimed 3 wickets while Ben Stokes and Jack Leach bagged two each. Earlier on the opening day, England were bowled out for 205 in their first innings.
