A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.0 hit the South Pacific Ocean on Sunday morning,according to the National Center for Seismology.According to information,the tremor occurred at 8.21 am IST at a depth of 67 km. According to the NCS, the epicentre was located at latitude 8.93 degrees south and longitude 78.90 degrees west.There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties following the quake. Authorities also said no tsunami warning has been issued so far.Further monitoring is underway to assess any aftershocks or related impact in the region.
