In US, at least three casualties were reported while 17 others were injured in a shooting incident at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, in the US state of Minnesota, Reuters reported, quoting a US Justice Department official on Wednesday. "The shooter was among those killed, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity," the report further said. Children were at a morning mass when shooting began, per local media. The shooter does not have an extensive known criminal history and has been identified as Robin Westman, who was in his early 20s. A shooting occurred Wednesday morning at a Minneapolis Catholic school, Minnesota governor said. Governor Tim Walz called the shooting "horrific." As police, FBI and other federal agents and ambulances converged on the school, a person answering the phone there said students were being evacuated.

The gunfire was the latest in a series of fatal shootings in the city in less than 24 hours. One person was killed and six others were hurt in a shooting Tuesday afternoon outside a high school in Minneapolis. Hours later, two people died in two other shootings in the city.
