Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday replied to the Motion of Thanks on President Droupadi Murmu's address in the parliament. The Indian leader acknowledged that it was his 14th reply to the Motion of Thanks in Lok Sabha adding that he feels fortunate that there was a place for a democratic debate in India. Attacking the divisive forces that are trying to divide the country, PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that his government does not indulge in the "politics of poison." Modi blasted Rahul Gandhi over his "boring" remark on the President's address, saying those who entertain themselves by having photo sessions in 'jhuggis' would find the mention of the poor in Parliament boring.

PM Modi stated, “In the past, newspaper headlines were often dominated by scams and corruption. Over the last ten years, we have saved crores of rupees, which have been redirected for public welfare.” PM Modi said,"We have heard the 'gareebi hatao' slogan for five decades... In the past 10 years, people gave us the opportunity to serve them, and 25 crore countrymen defeated poverty and came out of it. This happens when we sacrifice our lives for the poor in a planned manner." He took a veiled dig at AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, saying that some people "focused on jacuzzi, stylish showers" when NDA focused on providing water to every home.

PM Modi said, a few people think that they don’t appear mature if they don’t speak on foreign policy. For them I would like to tell read book 'JFK's Forgotten Crises' that talks of Pandit Nehru's meetings with John F Kennedy to learn about foreign policy.This book speaks in details about the discussions and decisions between Pandit Nehru and the then US President, John F Kennedy. "When the country was facing several challenges, what was being done in the name of foreign policy at that time has been brought out through this book," he said.

PM Modi said,said that his government works for the youth, unlike parties who deceive them with fake promises. “We have been working tirelessly with the future of our youth in mind. However, there are a few parties that are misleading the youth. They make promises of allowances during election times but fail to deliver on those promises. These parties are a hindrance to the future of our youth,” said PM Modi.
The Prime Minister said that President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the two Houses of Parliament will strengthen the country’s resolve for Viksit Bharat and provide inspiration to the common man. She spoke about building trust among people regarding the coming 25 years and Viksit Bharat. Her Address strengthens the resolve of Viksit Bharat, builds new confidence and inspires the common people," he said.
He further said that it was his NDA government that took stringent action against terrorists, militants and urban naxals.
