Ram Navami is being celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm in different parts of country on Sunday.The festival marks the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Ram Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of the Chaitra month. Prior to Ram Navami, Hindus observe a fast for nine days (Navratri) leading up to the festival. President Droupadi Murmu has wished all countrymen on the holy festival of Ram Navami. In a social media post, she emphasized the values of religion, justice, and duty that the festival represents.Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the people on the occasion of Ram Navami. In a social media post, he said, the blessings of Prabhu Shri Ram will always remain upon us and guide us in all our endeavours.
In Ayodhya, devotees from all corners of the world have come to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram. Special arrangements have been made by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra to ensure a seamless experience for devotees arriving for Ram Navami. Devotees from all over the country and the world are reaching Ayodhya to offer prayers to Ramlala on this special occasion.To protect the devotees from the heat, temporary camps have been set up on Rampath, and drinking water has been arranged at 243 places. In view of the huge crowd of devotees, the administration has made strict security arrangements. For the convenience of common devotees, all special passes for Ram Mandir have been canceled from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.Before visiting the temple, many took a holy dip in the Saryu River in Ayodhya.

Ram Navami celebrations began across West Bengal with vibrant processions and chants of 'Jai Shri Ram', as devotees thronged the streets to soak in the religious fervour, amid heightened security in the state to maintain law and order during the celebrations. The festive spirit was palpable on the streets, with saffron flags, devotional music and tableaux depictingscenes from the Ramayana adding to the grandeur of the celebrations.
