The Indian benchmark indices snapped their two-day winning streak, and ended marginally lower in a volatile session on Tuesday with Nifty closing slightly below 24,200.At close, the Sensex was down 105.79 points or 0.13 percent at 80,004.06, and the Nifty was down 27.40 points or 0.11 percent at 24,194.50.
Britannia Industries, Asian Paints, Shriram Finance, Bharat Electronics, Infosys were the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, UltraTech Cement, Sun Pharma and Bajaj Auto.
BSE Midcap index ended flat, while Smallcap index added 0.6 percent.Mixed trend was seen on the sectoral front, with auto, power, pharma, oil & gas sectors closing 1-1.5 percent lower, while FMCG, IT, metal sectors closed 0.5-1 percent higher.
Rupee Close:
On 26 Nov'24,the Indian rupee fell 3 paise to close at 84.32 against US dollar on Tuesday, as the greenback strengthened on Donald Trump's tariff plans and a muted trend in domestic equities.Forex traders reportedly stated US President elect Donald Trump's comments that he would impose additional 10 per cent tariffs on Chinese goods and impose a 25 per cent levy on imports from Mexico and Canada has affected risk sentiment.

There is still a lot of apprehension among the investors as FII outflows have continued for almost two months now. Market experts have recommended three shares to buy-Indus Towers, Cummins India, and KPI Green Energy.
