ICC has denied PCB to conduct Champions Trophy tour in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) cities. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to cancel the planned trophy tour of the Champions Trophy 2025 in Skardu, Murree, and Muzaffarabad - areas that fall within Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The decision comes after objections from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the tour itinerary shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
A nationwide trophy tour was announced by the PCB from November 16 to 24. However, ICC has decided to leave the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) areas out of the tour. This decision came amid the ongoing controversy surrounding India's participation in the Champions Trophy after ICC informed the PCB that India will not be travelling to Pakistan for the matches. The eight-team tournament is set to be held in Pakistan in February-March 2025 and to build up for the cricketing extravaganza, the PCB had organized the trophy tour. Meanwhile, the Champions Trophy 2025 has been marred by controversy due to India’s reluctance to travel to Pakistan for the cricketing event.
